California joined the Global Outbreak Alert & Response Network (GOARN), a WHO-coordinated system for rapid, international, disease-outbreak response. Following a meeting with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in Switzerland, Newsom stated this partnership aims to strengthen public health, data sharing, and emergency response capabilities.
We are SCREWED because plenty of $$$ is undoubtedly coming from Democrat dominated States. A few years ago California was reportedly the world's 6th largest economy. Also, California, Washington State, Oregon and Hawaii signed a little-known agreement a few years ago stating that the all agree to use the same health rules (now the same ones as California). Furthermore, Washington State has a lot of $$$ it could give WHO since it is the headquarters for Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Costco and more. If/when other Democrat dominated states join them they could easily pressure the US government into adopting WHO "guidelines/rules".
