Beautiful and profound, Sayer. So much that I did not know about these magnificent birds. They are truly unique beings in our world. Ours returned to their feeder just yesterday. A welcome sight when their presence returns.

So much to learn here and I’m just taking it in; it’s like the entire universe in one little being… Paired with exquisite beauty. So much to admire.

Nicely written.

Can hummingbirds levitate like bumble bees? It is said that bumble bees don't fly, they levitate, due to their ability to beat their wings at a frequency that harmonizes them into a levitation cocoon. Explains how these big insects with tiny wings can carry a heavy load of pollen and fly in a straight line from flowers to nest even with a strong, gusty wind coming at them side ways.

Great question! This will be the subject of an upcoming post on the world of Viktor Grebennikov who developed anti-gravity technology by observing and understanding the capabilities of insects.

Thank you for sharing your Mystical way of seeing the Sacredness of Life. You show us a beautiful way of experiencing this world by embracing the beauty and wisely letting go of the suffering. In a day lacking in inspiration, you reminded me - and likely multitudes of others - of the resplendence of Nature via the tiny miracle of the mighty Hummingbird. This life-long biologist thanks you. Namaste

Fairies in the garden

Above me I espied a humming bird lying on a palm leaf wings splayed out, head cranked flat to the side. Tongue out licking at what?

Such an unusual pose it must be hurt, dying.

The poor thing I felt.

Just then it tumbled towards the ground.

Oh no! My heart bled.

As my mind was processing the fall,

Unusual .

Right wing out tumble left.

left wing out tumble right...etc

Perfect execution of “out of controlled” fall.

It stopped right in front of my face.

Squeaking as if to laugh as hummingbirds might do.

Then taking off back in the garden

before I…….

Animals don't so much read our emotions as they feel them.
