As a scientist who began learning about "biology" in the 1970s, what you so eloquently describe is magical to me. But, not because I don't believe what you're saying, but rather because I DO. It dramatically expands and enlivens our understanding of biology and demonstrates the interconnectivity of all life on this beautiful Earth - and that we needn't waste our energy fearing all other life forms. The old biology concepts we have been taught for so long have been more "rote" than enlivened; this new research shows biology to be far beyond those old beliefs. I see parallels to this new biology in how some still view the Universe - as "dead" (i.e., inanimate) rather than living, evolving, intelligent, just like our own bodies/biology. I view both re-interpretations as simply uncovering the Magic within us and around us. Imagine the sparks of curiosity and awe that budding biologists and astronomers would feel if they read about such Magic in textbooks! They could not help but become more enlightened and outstanding scientists - and human beings. Namaste

This must be divine providence. I am attending a webinar right now that is presented by a naturopathic doctor on the "microbiome" and none of this is mentioned. Not a single word.

I checked my email because I was getting bored, and this popped up.

This article is more interesting than the seminar.
