Originally from Louisiana here. One of the reasons I moved my family out 11 years ago was to get away from the corrupt medical establishment. Cassidy (a person I respect as a former medical professor and educator at LSU- he taught me as a medical student), went from being a potential advocate for medical reform to a pure political hack for the pharmaceutical industry. Senator Cassidy only got 24.8% in his.
Something about Cassidy was even more distasteful for primary voters than even the highest profile Trump-hating Rino leader of his impeachment. Hmm...what could that have been?

The health crisis is on every shoulder. It is not the Gubmints duty to do more that remove toxins for the food supply. The fact that Americans fail the health test is on them.

My husband and I remembered that Cassidy belived in people having vaccine cards to go places and he wrote me back stating he belived children have to be vaccinated in order to go to school. Of course what you wrote about also confirmed his actions. So we voted for someone else.

I think another point worth noting, from the “news” reporting angle, is that we no longer have “news media”. We have a multi-faceted news medium.
The news medium - indeed, all of the News Information Entertainment complex, “the Medium” is in lockstep.
Loyal Party members working in The Medium already know the messaging, the positioning, the key words. The Stance. The Verdict.
That’s how they survive and prosper and multiply. Each Party member toes the line not as second nature but as primal nature.
