Sayer, this is absolutely mind-blowing, but as I reached the end of your article it occurred to me, would they allow it to be developed? You would no doubt be aware that for the elite in our world (and it's mostly the industrialised West) scarcity of resources, is not a problem. For them it is the solution. Scarcity raises the prices of many commodities. Scarcity creates wars that destroy societies and diminishes populations (depopulation agenda). The 1% buy the resources for a trifle and then sell them for top dollars. There are books written describing the numerous inventors over the past 100 or so years who have solved the energy problem, but who were crushed and their discoveries buried for exactly the same reason. They solved a problem that for an elite few wasn't a problem, but a bonanza.
Thanks for a fantastic article and introduction to the Le Clair effect. The video presentation was inspiring in the broad support of cavitation dynamics by universities and government and a deeper appreciation of water and light. To produce elements and even a sound theory of creation is transformational. The intelligence existing literally everywhere is beautifully expressed. The possibilities as you present them are endless. Civilization hopefully will benefit. As usual science is facing its nemesis - politics, wealth and control.
We've known water is a unique substance with unique properties but it sounds like we have even more to discover about it. I'm also amazed that LeClair was actually able to patent his processes; usually the Patent Office will deny such applications and then appropriate the process themselves in order to control it, or someone would "disappear" its inventor (think of all the free energy ideas that people have come up with---like running your car on seawater.) Also, it would preclude fighting over the moon as well, as apparently, going there hase taken precedence over going to Mars, the reason seeming to be to "mine" helium-3 for energy). I hope the new paradigm that is being developed will run with this new idea and free us all from scarcity and war. Thanks, again, Sayer for keeping us apprised of cutting-edge science. The more who know about this, the less likely they will be able to hide it from us.
I took exception to "This is not a moment for poetry" (https://donhynes.com/war-cry/) but otherwise a brilliant essay that lights the way forward beyond the extraction mindset into a cooperative relationship with natural and cosmic forces we've only begun to imagine.
I think the current collective mindset in the USA would only allow this to happen if we funded NGOs to grant other countries to develop it first! At some point people would wake up and say hey, why aren't we doing that here! Funny how the scarcity mindset fences in the ability to think outside the box!
