I've never been happy about getting yearly mammograms, mostly because there's no history of breast cancer in my family and I have other unrelated medical issues that take up more of my time than I want. The recent news that the radiation from mammograms can trigger cancer where there was none means I'm going to push for a sonogram or other procedure. Really I think we're passing the point where all this screening for cancer is more trouble than worth it.
Good question, why don’t we all just say no. But do it with a proper explanation. Get AI to help with counter arguments. I know AI can make it into short point for you to read at the doc office. These doctors should be working with us, listen to us. If more women did this, they would eventually have to listen…they often will resort to letting you go as a patient scare tactic…but then they lose money if they do that. Always give reviews on line whether a doctor is a willing partner in your health journey or a roadblock. I have learned this all finally, but likely too late in my senior 60’s. Do your own research, it’s your life!
I'm on hormone replacement therapy and my doc says he needs those tests each year to continue. I haven't talked to him about the sonogram alternative yet; there's a good chance he'd be receptive to that.
That makes sense. I'm in the same boat. I used AI to make excellent arguments to my GYN as to why I don't need an annual mammogram, but she refuses to renew my HRT unless I get one. I asked her about doing an ultrasound instead but she said that would not work. (I don't understand why not, especially since someone with dense breast tissue is supposed to get an ultrasound after a mammogram shows a potential concern.) The best I've been able to do is drag my feet so I'm getting one closer to every two years instead of every one year.
That’s exactly what I do, except I haven’t yet spoken to my doc about the ultrasound. I also have an extra excuse card I haven’t played yet. I had a melanoma about 5 yrs ago. Now, it was fully removed, did not require any chemo or radiation, and I’m completely fine, but I can truthfully say that, after the melanoma, having less, rather than more, radiation directed towards my body is probably better all around. Nonetheless, its still a pain in the a*s to have to do it in the first place.
Yes, the less radiation the better. Dense breasts do need u/S as opposed to mammograms by an ‘experienced’ technologist and Doctor who reads the outcome of the test. Then if there is an issue, go from there. But I would highly suggest to stay away from Chemo.
Is the DNA test available now in the US? I’m just weeks away or less from this being forced on me as a cure- the radiation, hacking , zapping and poisoning.

I think people just wanted you to know you have free will and no one can force you to take these treatments. Please know that there are so many options outside of allopathy “standard of care” medicine. People are healing their cancer with ivermectin and fenbendazole together. Even late stage cancers. Look up the Joe Tippen protocol. There are so many different approaches. Watch the documentary about alternative treatments and know you’re in the right place to get answers.
Sure I totally agree! It’s just that first few appointments when you go in and they present all the “options” before you even know how bad it is. You go in there thinking “whatever it takes”. I’ve ordered my IVC, fenben, and I’m fortunate. The surgeon called today and said the lump seems to be contained to one area. I’ve also found a Naturalpath doc who’s willing to supervise my IVC plus other herbs and supplements. I thank God! I’m getting good help and certainly pray chemo is not in the lineup. If it is I might just say no. 🙏 Today feels more hopeful and I hope others will feel that way too.
My thoughts are with you. Research alternative treatments with an open mind. The only reason there’s no solid evidence alternative treatments work is because this industry doesn’t fund human trials for drugs it can’t patent. Anecdotal data is still data. There are a bunch of natural remedies in this article and some preclinical trials using antiparasitics and bee venom that look promising. I wish you the very best.
