Thank you for such a lovely, beautiful expression of our human, divine spirit💜

Thanks for your unbelievably fresh breath of air. “You are a lifeboat of hope in a sea of despair.” A phrase taken from the big book I read and took much wisdom from forty years ago. Was beginning to think no one paid much attention to the hidden realities that are all around us anymore. Have been diving into the Rig Veda, Gita and most recently the yoga sutras of Patanjali. Not to mention all the commentaries I can find on them. So much to understand and so little time, I’m seventy one now with a few maladies from my earlier days of breaking the fun barrier for for extended periods of time. Glad I’ve been led to these teachings and now your offerings as well. Hopefully I’ll have burned off enough karmic debt to afford a favorable birth in the next go around. Don’t get too inspired with most of the offerings online these days. Glad I found yours.

Many blessings,

Brad

Have you checked out MooJi?. I am a bit older than you but I lived at an ashram for 25 years studying all that you are looking into. I studied Sanskrit deeply too. But in the end you do not need all of this. It is better than worldly activities but it is still not THAT .. all great beings said it: Be still and Know…that is it….we must drop the self and not use the self to study more….do not feed the mind……Check out MooJi. He brings you directly there. He is on YouTube..do you hear Nadam?

I haven’t. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I will check it out. Pretty much alone as far as these things go. People around me are only superficially interested. This is the only thing worth working toward as far as I can tell.

Thank you again

It is very hard to do this alone and i think almost impossible. I give you a tremendous amount of credit. I have had the privilege of sitting with many ascended masters and divine mothers in this lifetime, though sadly not MooJi but he is end of the line. I would suggest reading Nisargadatta Maharaj, Ramana Maharshi, MooJi, even some of Osho because they get to the essence. Feel free to contact me.

Thank you for the recommendations. Have been reading Nisargadatta. A couple different books of his. Ultimate Medicine has many intense conversations that make me approach it all differently. Your replies have helped immensely. Haven’t found anything about Nadam.

Thank you again

Yes wonderful. I have been using sound as healing and meditation for years. It sure has helped me keep fairly steady through the years of knowing the awful truths now being exposed. Doesn't stop me from crying sometimes but that's only natural. I return to balance. I go on. Namaste.

Sanskrit is said to be the one language where name and form are the most closely aligned. That is, just hearing the sounds of the words structures the meaning of the words in your consciousness and physiology, even without your intellect knowing the meaning of the words. Listening to the chanting has an effect. I believe that this was the original intent of scripture, not to "study" it, but to hear it sung, to hear it being chanted while sitting with eyes closed in a relaxed state.

One of my teachers has said, the intellectuals have hijacked religion. Religion is not about thinking, it's about feeling, about very subtle feeling and about Being.

I’ve always thought that the chanting that the monks did and do is to reach the heavens with vibration. I think that’s why we sing at church , and I think that’s why we all sing on a Sunday- all of us across the world, because we’re reaching God‘s vibration with our vibration. That’s just my theory. I have never read that but I think that.

yes! We live near a monastery of Benedictine monks. They do the mass every morning. It's chanted or sung in Latin. They also chant for a short time, about 10 minutes, at noon just before they take lunch. We go to both of those once in a while. Their chanting is sublime.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful chant. Where there is darkness, there is also light...with enough light warriors, maybe we will eventually overwhelm the evil that abounds at this time in history. Consciousness is arising I believe and events such as the Epstein revelations could be the catalyst to facilitate this change.
