How a screening tool became a political battleground — and why the real crisis in breast cancer care has nothing to do with who sits on a government task force
Thank you Sayer for this article- it is spot-on. 12 years ago I became a victim of DCIS overdiagnosis. Thank God I was suspect and refused the surgery, the 6 weeks of daily radiation, and 5 years of tamoxifin. Instead I chose active surveillance with BSE, AWFL ultrasound, organic diel, thermography, exercise and common sense. I am 73 years old and still going strong, no thanks to our allopathic medical world. Fear is a powerful tool and they know how to wield it with great purpose. Their motivation is greed with little concern for the health of humanity.
Thank you Sayer! We definitely have to be our own advocates, but Substacks like yours are so helpful, full of encouraging validation and wonderful paths to follow as we pursue our best health, no matter our age.
This gave me the biggest smile I will have today Kathryn. Thank you for posting your story. What a smart and savvy lady you are and your breasts are still with you and happy!
Once again, Sayer, you deliver not just excellent science-based info, but weave into it what we all should know, calling out scientism for what it is, and explaining how most allopathic-committed patients are so duped. Sayer, in my book, you have all the right ingredients for creating the structure for the best kind of medical science. Many of us already subscribe to this philosophy and are acting on it as best we can, but it is difficult within the prevailing medical paradigm.
So grateful for your perfect articulation of these problems and solutions. I hope all your work and intentions will fully manifest a paradigm shift to this new medical approach in our lifetimes! Thank you, thank you for sharing your sagacity, wisdom, and love!
I am in my 60s and have never had a mammogram! I have annual ultrasound and thermography instead which is more diagnostic and has no radiation! Insurance will pay for the ultrasound but not for the thermography so I pay for it out of pocket.
Witnessed this first hand with my mother. I vowed never to take these so called treatments. Check out breast cancer er choices. They break down the serious lack of informed consent. These treatments are 90 percent likely to harm you and about 4 percent likely to help. What woman would embark upon these treatments in that context? The chemo destroyed my mother’s quality of life. She was stage 4 with no symptoms really at diagnosis. After chemo she could not read, she could not walk because of neuropathy. She could not poop because of opioid drugs. 4 years of dying slowly with horrible quality of life. She ultimately died of a hospital acquired infection by going for a second option, then developed a huge infection in her breast implants. A Disgusting series of events I would not wish on any human being.
Thank you Sayer Ji! You and I have been alerting women about this problem since 2012! My website DCIS 411 was created for this reason....and we now have a growing movement online with a support group called "DCIS is not breast cancer." My hope is to educate younger women before they get lured down mammography's "Pink Rabbit Hole" -- the cascade you have explained well. My story has been featured on Inside Edition and I think people can relate to the harms when they hear and see how this actually plays out in a healthy woman's life. My doctor actually said "Your breast is like spoiled soup; it's not worth saving." I walked away at that point after months of intensive research and discovering exactly what you have pointed out. It's so criminal and heart-breaking -- I still hear from women every day who are being fear-mongered. And double mastectomies have doubled for low-risk DCIS despite the COMET Study and extensive evidence showing DCIS overdiagnosis and overtreatment! Please check out DCIS411.com and let's work together to help more women avoid harms of mammograms. I also have a Free Ebook quoting the evidence and experts here: https://dcis411.com/ebook/
The "outrage" by doctors is not because they care about their victims, er, patients, but they care about losing all the pay and bonuses they get for the money flow from "treating"/mutilating/drugging the victims. Not to mention the archons love the life-long misery it gives to victim and families and friends, kind of like most other induced diseases.
Regardless of what you think of Mike Adams (ignore his geopolitical views) he called this one a long time ago, like 25 years. Think Pink stinks. Of course, any money going to cancer or other medikill organizations, like the Heart Association, are to make us believe we are doing some good while they rake it in and go laugh at us from their mansions and yachts you bought for them. Never donate to any of them. St. Judes is one of the worst. That kid must be all grown up and rich by now, if not dead.
If they really cared about any of these money making charity scammed humans, why not put research into "What is causing this problem". They do not want a solution because it cuts off the money spigot. All donors want to give is money to have a clear conscience, and then just move along with their lives feeling good inside. Donors don't help the sickly humans.
I don't think pay/bonuses are the main explanation for the outrage. The notion that they're inflicting harm, rather than being the hero healer/savior - that is an absolutely brutal punch to the psyche.
Qtimaging.com 40 times the resolution of an MRI with no radiation or compression. Downside it’s only available in 3-4 cities. And it’s $800. Of course not covered by insurance. So if you have tons of money you’re golden.
Almost 3 years ago now I was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma at age 55, so I guess it was DCIS until it wasn't. I was so close to falling into the trap of becoming a patient for life (cut, maim, poison, fry, and die) but started to pump the brakes. Instead I chose integrative treatment and addressing the terrain that got me there in the first place. I ended up having cryoablation (hope that doesn't bite me later in life) and also had breast implants removed. That surgeon, Dr. Robert Whitfield in Austin, has a team that follows patients for a year post surgery to help detox from the implants and in my case it wasn't just the implants that I needed a detox from. I'm still working with one of his practitioners due to a lot of terrain issues: gut dysfunction, parasites galore, heavy metals, mold, and GI infections. It's been a long slow road but that's how healing works, like peeling layers of an onion but it's been so worth it and I feel like that is what has helped my body heal, even more so than my time at an integrative cancer center. You kinda learn through the journey that those places are also in it for the money, not that they didn't help, they did, but not to the extent that my surgeon's team has.
I went to Des Moines to have the QT imaging done and am fascinated by that technology. 3 years ago there were only a handful of machines in the country and now there are maybe around 10 I think, I have not looked recently. It's a much safer option for screening and it captures images in 1mm slices all the way through the breast so it will detect anything going on. I'm hopeful that maybe one day insurance will pay for it because women need other options for screening that don't break the bank.
All insurance-reimbursible "prevention" is actually EARLY VICTIM IDENTIFICATION. They need younger, healthier patients to improve their stats, so that we don't see how little progress gets made over decades of research on things like heart disease and cancer. And they need younger victims to prolong the wealth extraction.
The focus is always on wealth extraction, not health.
End health insurance and stuff like this will fade away - too high a cost and too little benefit. The cure is to make doctors offer treatments that the average patient can afford to pay out of pocket. Then there would be no budget for fear mongering ads that are intended to create demand for this sort of crap quackery.
Have you ever seen this article? Doctors found that while long term tamoxifen use reduced chances of the “good” treatable form of cancer by 60%, it increased the chances of getting an untreatable form (triple negative?) by 440%! Why are women never given this information?
Probly same why public was not informed of Scandinavian research in late 1980s/90s: they researched women with breast cancers getting (or not) a natural soy supplement. They finally had to stop the research cuz it would not have been ethical to withhold the supplement from the group not getting it, cuz the Genistein was so successful at stopping & reversing breast cancers in the supplement group. It was a sizeable study, too.
But in the US, I’ve heard docs & media spreading that say soy is bad, feminizing, polluted. Also, at least a couple docs swore Estriol is bad.
Yet BOTH estriol, & Genistein, had long ago been proven to stop & regress cancers!!
Follow the money.
As for tamoxifen: it is a lab-tweaked counterfeit of natural taxol from yew trees.
That means, it’s yet another drug PharmaChem started by isolating single component as a marketable drug, then, tweaking the molecule to make it a patentable version they can sell.
But, a single component is not a whole treatment. A tweaked molecules does not fit cleanly into receptor sites.
Those single components depend on co-factors that come in the plant sources (substrates), for a living body to properly use them. Very like how minerals & other components are s’posed to come with the important factor in foods, in order to more safely consume foods (like salts & sugars).
NOTHING is compatible with health, that has been stripped of cofactors, concentrated, & flooded into a living system (like MSG, & so much else).
Using only single-factor, tweaked molecules, causes adverse effects, & reduced efficacy of the medicine.
It takes a brave person to publicly question the Disease Industrial Complex and not fear retribution. Thank you Sayer Ji and all the wise commenters here…
I think the death rate from the procedure is higher than the death rate from the "disease". But they have this expensive machine to pay for itself, and the doctors get more money. Plus, if they tear something, even better! Surgery!. I absolutely refuse to ever have one. But then I don't eat from the middle of the store, or non-organic, for that matter.
Many insurance companies will cover the Colo-guard instead of colonoscopy. It's a poo sample that you send into the lab. I won't get a colonoscopy! The pre-op ritual really messes up your body.
I learned that the usual chemical cold sterilizing solution failed to remove some cells residue from previous patients the tools are used on.
Many docs simply repeating the sterilization process using more or stronger dilutions of that. Why they refuse to switch to the solution that does sterilize the tools properly, I don’t know. Cost? Contract obligations?
I refused to get any more colonoscopies based on that, & the really good doc retired.
So, now I just do the stool sample on the cardboard.
Use a gut-healing diet for a couple weeks leading-up-to doing the sample.
That decreases inflammation.
& if also using gut-healing supplements, or medical meal replacement formulas (like Metagenics GI Sustain) for a couple weeks ahead of sample, that can very much remedy gut ills, so the test is negative.
There are numerous ways. A good Naturopath should be able to help.
But here’s a short list…sorta…
1. Metagenics GI Sustain, mixed w/water, minimum 5 servings daily for at least a month.
I witnessed that heal an end-stage Chron’s disease patient, in that length of time; he’d gone awol from hospital docs about to remove his entire colon, took taxi, dragging IV along, wearing hospital gowns. Docs said colon was “lace doily”.
One month on that medical meal replacement formula, & those same docs rechecked, said “someone must have mixed up your test results w/someone else’s, cuz your colon looks clean as a new baby’s!”
He followed up by slowly reintroducing foods one at a time, to be sure which were causing gut problems. Stopped eating those. Kept some of the formula on hand, just in case.
2. Vegan, organic, raw food diet.
See books by Dr. Dean Ornish. Ornish’s recipes were not even that good—just a well-balanced basic vegan.
He was using that to cure end-stage cancers & cardiovascular ills, before any allopaths were…once they started realizing he was onto something, several other docs basically plagiarized Ornish, & wrote their own books on it.
3. The Optimum Health Institute. Near San Diego. & in TX I think.
They might have online courses by now. Been helping folks for many decades, using a particular sprouting diet.
One of our patients was mid 70s, organs failing, looked like walking death, huge foot ulcer to the bone, nothing had helped her. Diabetes out of control.
My doc tried to help her, but too little, too late.
I risked my job with that doc, to take her aside to tell her about this place—nearly got canned. But I told her, she has to REALLY want to ge well, has to have a Goal motivating to heal & live. & I told her, because she was so sick, she should really take a helper friend with her.
She disappeared—we didn’t know anything for a few months.
Then a strong, old woman fairly danced in the door, glowing w/health, put her large briefcase on the counter, & said, “this is all my food supplies for 6 months! I’m going on a Mission!” (Her dream motivation). None could be more shocked than my doc!
That lady’s body had reversed diabetes, foot ulcer fully closed/healed, organs functioning. She needed zero meds. Had all her “good to go” permissions in-hand.
No allopathic docs could have done that.
That regimen makes NO promises. They bill as a health spa. Folks who are gravely I’ll just seem to go there, & many many get well from whatever ails them.
Anyone can learn to do these things. Can retrain your tastebuds. Can learn that junk foods & industrialized foods are NOT “rewards”. Can research & learn about particular supplements your body might need, depending on your individual, unique issues. It’s like a sleuthing game, & the prize is regaining your health & better autonomy—vs. Industrialized stuff being push-sold to everyone under false pretexts.
Be determined. Your choices are yours. Try to avoid the industrialized fakery & counterfeits. Make the best choices you can!
What is the difference with regard to radiation exposure, detection and carcinogenicity, between a regular mammogram and a diagnostic mammogram (the latter more like a CT?)?
Also, if for every one life saved, 10 women are overdiagnosed -
What happens to the women who did need saving, if mammograms are stopped? We let them die or tell them to eat broccoli and let them die?
For prevention, avoiding wireless radiation and other forms of EMF should be at the top of the list. Women now carry radiation emitting cell phones on them and in front of their torso all day long. While growing up, during pregnancy and in their hands while holding their babies. That is causing all kinds of cancer and biological harm that will affect future generations, including causing infertility that will make future births impossible.
Wifi, smart tech, cell towers, high tension wires, etc.
I don't know how many resolve and how many become malignant, but I do know that women died of breast cancer long before mammograms were used and before breast cancer prevention/screening was a thing. To what extent the screening helped or hurt, I don't know. I don't know if anyone knows. I think if the medical system found that mammography did more harm than good, they would not tell the public.
My paternal grandmother dues if breast cancer when my dad was 16. My mother’s sister died of it later in life. She did not treat it. My mother, an internist, was scandalized by her choice. I’d make that choice today.
interview by expert on silica (no, I don't recall his name). most men also have hair on chests, it occurred to later. not some big study, like most things in big med, right?
Wondering how puberty hairs containing silica, can protect against anything but friction…?
Guessing expert on silica…would know what silica does.
Hairs are tiny, so cannot act like much of a shield (unless one is hairy as Bigfoot?)
But Silica mineral, needs to be circulating in the body—like, in the blood & soft tissues—we need, to help build tissues like hair, bones, etc.
Selenium & iodine trace elements particularly help prevent some ills.
The population is generally malnourished of a long list of trace minerals—which causes all kinds of ills, & allopathy is not clocking that….Or helping fix anything modifiable with proper diet/supplements.
Docs still tell cancer patients to “enjoy some pie/cake/candy!”—Nevermind that causes cancers to grow in overdrive, & disease treatments to fail.
Don’t get me started on “research”!
I distrust most of what is perpetrated as research.
Someone researched that situation decades ago, & found something around 75% of all researches were bogus/faked.
I was staff on a big research about radiation bead implants, & saw 1st-hand how it was manipulated.
My daughters were born ten years apart (1969 and 1979), and I breastfed each of them for nearly four years, abiding by the La Leche League dictum of "Never offer, never refuse." They both self-weaned, and both have wide palates and beautiful teeth. And I (now nearly 80) have had zero cancer scares. God gave women breasts for the optimal nourishing of our babies and toddlers, and when we use them that way, in my experience breast cancer is not an issue.
Jesus Christ, it is so incredibly fun to watch Rockefeller fake ass medicine crash and burn. Just wait until a critical mass of people find out that a lot of cancers are actually blood/micro-parasite infections.
Excellent! Thank you for explaining it far better than most media outlets trying to make it sound fearful.
12/2023, sharp, repeatedly stabbing pains in elbo & breast awoke me from sound sleep.
I had a clue it might be a sudden-onset or sudden growth of a cancer, but unsure.
I used an infrared wand delivering btwn 950 to 1015 Hertz light. That also makes heat, which helps case an artificial, localized fever. Fever temps kill cancer cells, bacteria, viruses. If one can’t afford a costly medical-grade red/infrared light tool, a common heating pad, or sustained hot compresses, or saunas, also cause artificial fevers—which ki11 off cancer cells & germs.
Fast forward to doc appt: doc biopsied the elbo lesion, & a nose lesion that did not hurt. Both came back cancer, & they pushed me to get surgery.
But….a few things:
1. I did not want to deal with how allopaths act when patient shows breast cancer, so did not tell the doc about that; it was already overwhelming about 2 small lesions being positive, & I understood, based on how the elbo felt, that my breast was affected too.
2. I learned how greatly the infrared light worked to stop that blinding pain, & kept doing it.
& knew about how much heroic doses of USP reduced L-glutathione could do against bad cancers.
Also, about using anti-fungal/anti-parasite things—I couldn’t afford the jacked-up prices for ivermectin & fenbendazole, but could get Biocidin herbal, & that also helped.
Also, about using vegan diet to reduce ills.
So, I did all those.
I agreed w/ making an appointment for surgery, only to appear compliant.
BUT, when it got down to about 1 week before the appointments each time, I’d call to “reschedule”….did that several times, stretching farther ahead each time, until almost 2 years later, then told them, the sites still looking in healing mode (cannot say cured),
so, said: “We’re waiting to see how those go; just cancel; if needed, will call to make appointment.”
One dermatologist was happy to wait & see. The other one was old-school “scare ‘em to bits”, & pushy to get surgery.
Now in 2026, 2.5 yrs later, both biopsied spots look healed—no lesion regrew.
I’ve had a couple rechecks. At one, doc said she could still see suspicious cells at edge of where one lesion had been, but invisible to naked eyes, so, still “wait & see”.
The breast areas calmed; I still feel when it tries to recur, so, with any bit of pain symptom or discomfort there, I use the infrared lite on it, & it’s gone again.
Interestingly, as a nursing mom 50+ years ago, I’d used a heating pad to resolve a painful breast infection…no one is told these things!!…heating pad, hot water bottle, towels wrung from very hot water, etc.—fever temps stop germs & cancer cells from growing.
Heating pad (really, heat from any source) is also giving infrared; infrared is what goes deeper into tissues to get at cancer or infection growths). Heat IS Infrared, & it causes cells to change fr the better.
A friend finally got KP to treat an orange-size cancer on her back, they should have removed when she got them to look at it several times in several months when it was tiny.
Caused by cat claw puncture carrying parasites.
But allopathy refuses to treat parasites, nor do they understand that parasites & fungals underpin most cancer growths.
Friend got ivermectin started 2 weeks before her surgery, & fenbendazole arrived 2 days before—she did not tell her KP docs about taking the 2 meds—but those absolutely caused the tumor to re-encapsulate, for a clean, tho radical removal.
The radiologist then tried to hard-push (even threaten w/a threatened psych-hold order) her to start radiation immediately—she refused—best she did!
Her plastic surgeon doing reconstructive, told her, if she had started radiation 1st, the reconstructive surgeries would have been very hard to do on cooked skin & soft tissues, if those even could be done.
She also refused chemo—having already had lumpectomies + chemos before.
She only used a chronic course of the 2 meds, & diet.
The spot of metastasis in her lung, disappeared.
Follow-ups have stayed clear…despite docs telling her it was one of the worst kinds of cancers, guaranteed to recur & ki11 her within a few years.
She’s almost 3 years clear; zero of their threatened recurrences.
Bottom line:
Understand your body. Educate self about body, microbiology that affects body, & what docs are allowed to use as treatments, & the real (not)success of those.
All of those have consequences, some incompatible with life (like radiation).
Those alter your genetic expression. That has consequences for the rest of your life, & possibly future generations. Very like exposures to chemicals, bad diets, bad habits cause long-term consequences.
Allopathy has been trained away from really diagnosing very well at all. Docs have been pharm-taught to withhold diagnostics & prudent treatments from patients who usually choose naturally methods.
Natural methods can & do help remediate almost all ills, once we can find the right methods to use, per person. It takes multiple streams of education to figure things out. It’s sleuthing!

I personally think it's barbaric- I always decline and my insurance company dangles carrots ( free stuff, points, etc) to pull me in. Heck no!
I am in my 60s and have never had a mammogram! I have annual ultrasound and thermography instead which is more diagnostic and has no radiation! Insurance will pay for the ultrasound but not for the thermography so I pay for it out of pocket.
Wow, good for you Donna!
Don't forget to wash off that toxic chemical they use for ultrasounds...do it as quickly as possible.
So, the women who died of breast cancer really died, in most cases, of the treatment.
This is a line of research I have been doing for 20 years. I documented most of it, with full citations, in REGENERATE https://www.amazon.com/Regenerate-Biological-Reverse-Chronic-Disease/dp/1401956386
And all my writings on Greenmedinfo.com (we have a huge new surprise announcement coming on that project soon)

I won’t do one anymore. Every time I have one, I wind up with C- Difficile., I’m sick for one to two years.
I’ll never afford some test insurance doesn’t cover.
Many insurance companies will cover the Colo-guard instead of colonoscopy. It's a poo sample that you send into the lab. I won't get a colonoscopy! The pre-op ritual really messes up your body.
I’m right with you.
The pre-op is definitely the problem!
Dr. Tenpenny did a great series discussing colonoscopies:
http://drtenpenny.substack.com/p/the-truth-about-colonoscopy-pt-1
Thanks. What do you use for a gut-healing diet?
I appreciate your work and all the information.
Isn't it true that most small breast "tumors" resolve themselves, unless the Gestapo catches them with the religion of the annual test?
I don't know how many resolve and how many become malignant, but I do know that women died of breast cancer long before mammograms were used and before breast cancer prevention/screening was a thing. To what extent the screening helped or hurt, I don't know. I don't know if anyone knows. I think if the medical system found that mammography did more harm than good, they would not tell the public.
My paternal grandmother dues if breast cancer when my dad was 16. My mother’s sister died of it later in life. She did not treat it. My mother, an internist, was scandalized by her choice. I’d make that choice today.
Men can also die of breast cancer. It's rare, but it happens.
That's because women shave their underarms, so they don't have silica in the hair nearby to help keep the area disease-free.
Ummm…where did you see data proving that?
interview by expert on silica (no, I don't recall his name). most men also have hair on chests, it occurred to later. not some big study, like most things in big med, right?
This is just so infuriating!
