This is beautifully written, and I think its strongest contribution is the reminder that outrage, while morally clarifying, is physiologically unsustainable.
Your “beauty as medicine” claim lands in a way that doesn’t require metaphysics to be true: sustained exposure to awe, aesthetic coherence, nature, music, and meaningful human connection reliably shifts autonomic tone (down-regulates threat physiology, improves sleep architecture, restores attentional flexibility). In other words, beauty can function as a counter-signal to chronic hypervigilance, not by denying darkness, but by preventing it from colonizing the nervous system. 
I also appreciated the distinction you make between witnessing and becoming: staying awake to what’s being revealed, while refusing to let “the abyss” become the inner atmosphere. Clinically, that’s the difference between adaptive moral pain and corrosive rumination. Your gratitude-as-discipline framing is essentially a practical method of attention reallocation, choosing what your brain rehearses daily, because rehearsal becomes biology.

Sayer, this is transformational writing. That you found your way to this beautiful pearl of writing through investigating and exposing that which causes most of us shock and grief is astonishing. This is why Humanity is still here. You point to that part of us - the spark of Sacredness - that still inhabits us, that we can all turn to in order to nourish us through this rumbling period of Human history. Oh, Sayer Ji, I find it wonderful to experience this side of you. Rudolf Steiner was contemporary with Gaudi, and built an incredible building out of wood on a hill in Dornach, Switzerland that was burned to the ground by saboteurs New Years eve 1923-24, and... Before his death in 1925 he had designed and begun construction on a new, all concrete building, the Goetheanum. It similarly has beautiful colored glass windows that beam their light into the space, and it similarly is meant to evoke an experience of spiritual reality. I have loved and had deep experiences in both. Your reference to the importance of effective counter-forces to evil - especially in ourselves - I find to be right on target. This fact may be why Pam Bondi went full-on "Jesus ousts the money-lenders from the Temple" in the Judiciary Committee this week. Who among us could hold their tongue, knowing Congress and the FBI allowed this to continue through 4+ Administrations and still oversee redactions and edits on millions of pages to release? Not good lawyering for any of those legislators!
The FBI and the CIA and the NSA etc. are all hostile foreign power military occupation dictatorship weapons used against the people of a conquered nation to continually suppress them, these agencies will never play straight, as continual total obfsucation is the nature of the Beast.
