A couple of days ago - the very same day as I saw RFK Jr discussing the Trump EO about pharma companies having to list side effects in their ads - I was in a bar in a hotel lobby in Paris (France) and sputtered into my sauvignon as I saw an ad float across the TV screen for a vaccine called "prevenar" (provides protection against 20 types of Streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria according to the manufacturer).
I thought only US and NZ allowed direct advertising for pharmaceuticals so not sure how this was allowed. It was on the France24 news channel.

If tobacco companies can be forbidden to advertise their products on TV, I don't see why pharmaceutical companies need to be treated any differently.
Be that as it may, here in California where I live the state medical board has to approve every medical exemption from a required childhood vaccine, and can revoke a doctor's license to practice if he/she writes too many exemptions or can't justify any of them sufficiently to convince the board that they were really absolutely necessary. In a similar fashion I'd think in a state like Florida it would be possible to require a doctor to report to the state board, for their case-by-case approval, every prescription they write for any pharmaceutical product that is being directly advertised to consumers.
